We now have an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and motivated Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist to join our Waterways and Ecology Group. This role can be based in either Wangaratta (Vic) or Brisbane (Qld). This is an exciting role, and the successful candidate will hit the ground running with a range of projects already confirmed, as well as more in the pipeline.

 To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering,
  • 3 + year’s work experience as a scientist or engineer in relevant field
  • Project management experience
  • Strong report writing ability
  • Good interpersonal and developing client relationship management skills
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment
  • A passion to work in waterway management

The following skills are desirable but not essential:

  • Competency in field assessment with field team leader experience
  • Geomorphology
  • AutoCAD experience
  • GIS and field survey skills
  • First aid training

The ideal candidate will have the right mix of technical expertise and communication skills to translate our incredibly interesting and technical work into formats that can be understood by our project stakeholders.

A person with a good sense of humour, who works well with little supervision (but full support), is committed to client satisfaction and who enjoys working in a team environment will fit well with our company culture.
