Expert Witness

Due to the increase of work providing expert services in water-related matters, we have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and professional Senior / Principal Engineer to join our team and take on the exclusive role of researching, assisting and supporting our Senior Principals in their expert witness duties.

The key responsibility of this role will be to research background information, undertake or supervise technical analysis (including water modelling), draft detailed technical reports contributing to expert witness cases and to be able to articulately brief in-house experts and legal representatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • 10+ year’s work experience as an engineer in a relevant field
  • Exceptional technical report writing skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Highly developed attention to detail, accuracy and quality skills

The ideal candidate for this expert witness role will have the right mix of technical expertise and communication skills to translate our technical findings into formats that can be understood by internal and external stakeholders in various legal contexts (including planning appeals, civil actions and compulsory acquisitions).

A person with a good sense of humor, who works well with little supervision (but full support) and who enjoys working in a team environment will fit well with our company culture.
