Regional Manager – Principal Water Engineer / Scientist

We are now seeking a Principal Water Engineer or Scientist with leadership experience to head up our WA team. This role is pivotal to our ongoing success; the ideal candidate will have local knowledge and networks as well as demonstrated people leadership and client relationship skills. A real desire to have full accountability (with support) for the region is critical!

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide a high level of technical input to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
  • Involvement with/leading hydrological investigations including expertise with appropriate numerical modelling and analysis tools
  • Maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients and expanding our client base; providing opportunities to continue to develop and grow our presence in Western Australia
  • Project manage client projects in line with budget and timeline constraints
  • Develop innovative plans and solutions
  • Manage WA Region and staff, report to Senior Management regarding regional finance and operation matters
  • Mentor and develop less experienced staff
  • Collaboration and coordination of resources with other interstate managers

To be successful in this Regional Manager – Principal Water Engineer or Scientist position, you will need:

  • Appropriate engineering or scientific qualification(s)
  • 15+ years’ experience in the water sector with the majority gained in Western Australia
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow industry networks and client relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and coaching others
  • High level of technical competence and accuracy
  • Demonstrated experience managing a diverse team
  • Ability to work independently alongside a willingness to collaborate with interstate teams
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding service & quality to our clients
