Alister Daly

Alister has extensive experience in the water engineering industry throughout Australia and has worked extensively within the water resources, flooding and drainage sectors for Government and private sector clients across Australia.  Alister has held technical and management positions in both large and small consultancies in the water resources and flooding sectors and has been actively involved in all levels of engineering consultancy.  He has worked extensively throughout Queensland, as well as throughout other regions across Australia including Victoria, NSW and the Northern Territory. Alister has served as a water resources advisor in China for an international AusAID project and has also provided water resources consultancy services in Brunei.

Alister has demonstrated experience in the water resources sector including flood and drainage studies, hydraulic and hydrologic investigations, stormwater quantity and quality management, infrastructure charges schedules, development assessment, project management and GIS.  Alister has also worked on numerous hydrologic and hydraulic assessments for development proposals, flood mitigation designs and hydraulic structure designs for both private and Local and State government clients.  Alister is well versed in general civil engineering design including contract management/administration relating to water resource projects including dams, flood mitigation works, stormwater drainage, waterway rehabilitation, mining works, levee systems as well as road and linear infrastructure. 

Alister actively provides expert review services and has given expert evidence in the Queensland Planning and Environment Court on several occasions.
