Water Technology would like to welcome two new starters to the Melbourne office and one new starter to the Brisbane office.

Nuno Jeronimo has joined the Melbourne office as an Engineer in the Floodplains Group. Nuno has joined us from Portugal, having spent some time working and studying in France, Spain and Singapore. Nuno has a strong background in hydrology and hydraulics. Nuno studied Physical Geography (Portugal & France) and has  a MSc in Hydro-Informatics.  For the past 3 years Nuno worked as a Water Management Consultant for the CMA of Catalonia (Spain) and held responsibility for the technical direction of R&D contracts, the management of data interchange with third parties, the optimisation of the CMA’s control station network and also technological vigilance.

Josh Mawer has joined the Melbourne office as a Graduate Scientist in the Coasts and Environment Group. Josh recently completed a Master of Science degree majoring in Earth and Ocean Science at the University of Waikato. During the final 14 months of his degree he completed a thesis looking the at morphological response of the Te Tumu Cut, which is the current Kaituna River mouth, in response to some of the proposed re-diversion options for the Kaituna River and Maketu Estuary. This was achieved through the development and application of a coupled Mike 21 Spectral Wave, Hydrodynamic and Sediment Transport model of the river mouth and surrounding coastline.

Irene Zagas has joined the Brisbane office as the Administration Manager.  Irene has just relocated to Brisbane from Sydney where she spent the last 18 years working in the financial services industry.  During that time Irene progressed to a management and co-ordination role.  Irene’s skills in addition to the ensuring the efficient operation of an office and providing high level administrative support, are in the areas of growth and maintenance of a client base and fostering close working relationships between employees, clients and industry associates. Irene’s main objective is to coordinate the administration and support activities within our Brisbane office.

Welcome Nuno, Josh and Irene!
