Michael Aberton
Mick is a highly qualified Principal Ecologist at Water Technology with over 20 years’ experience in research, environmental policy, biodiversity assessment techniques, community consultation, management and a PhD in ecology and plant pathology. Through his experience with engineering and natural resource clients, Mick has developed ecological, planning, conservation and environmental science skills across a range of industries including water, transport, natural resources, land development and renewable energy for private, government and non-government organisations.
Mick offers a broad background and understanding in environmental approval processes including those with Federal, State, and local regulations and assisting clients with a pragmatic, impact minimising approach that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. Mick’s a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) and Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) member.
