Roland Van Amstel

Roland is an environmental consultant with a background in natural hazard planning and policy analysis, disaster risk assessment, and resilience development. Roland is completing his master’s degree in planning & management of natural hazards, focusing on supporting vulnerable communities, flood risk management, planning policy, climate change adaptation and resilience to environmental change of complex-adaptive social-ecological systems. With master’s degrees in aerospace engineering and business administration, Roland has gained extensive key account- and project-management experience in international business to business environments.

At Water Technology, Roland is part of the Natural Hazards Team working on risk management, evacuation capability assessments, resilience development and spatial analysis with a particular focus on flooding and heat hazards. Roland is also involved with environmental management systems and auditing.
