Congratulations to Aunty Kay Blades (Mandandanji Traditional Owner), Relative Creative, Jamie Kaye and Daryl Lam from Water Technology Pty Ltd, on the ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Knowledge and Practice in Waterway Management’ runners up award at the River Basin Management Society’s Awards Gala 2024 which was held at the 11th Australian Stream Management Conference this month.

This important project created and tested a collaborative approach between First Nations knowledge holders and rangers, and technical specialists, for applied landscape rehabilitation focused on Munga Lake (Munya Lake) and its catchment (Balonne).

Thanks to the Queensland Department of Environment, Science and Innovation for commissioning the project. Well done to everyone involved!
