Dean is an engineer, scientist and Principal Geomorphologist for Water Technology with over 30 years of experience. His experience ranges from public policy to providing technical services across a range of river management, environmental flow, flood and statutory planning projects.

As a specialist Dean is experienced in the investigation of hydraulic and geomorphic processes and their impact on river health and the environment. Dean has provided expert evidence for court and VCAT cases in the fields of fluvial geomorphology, hydraulics, sediment transport, risk management, river management and environmental flows.
